Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop Galway has expanded! The shop has just added a new room dedicated to topics of Irish Interest. Occupying a previously vacant adjoining unit, the new space houses books on all things Irish, including Irish History, Irish Poetry and Drama, Leabhar as Gaeilge, Irish Photography, Irish Architecture, and much more.
The children’s section, which stocks an exciting variety of bargain and new children’s books, has also expanded, creating Galway’s largest selection of books for children, teens and young adults. It also features a colourful, family-orientated space that is home to Saturday-morning storytime sessions held each week at 11am, as well as loads of special events especially for kids. The shop has also been renovated to increase accessibility for wheelchairs, buggies and those of impaired mobility.
