They will then be rehearsed and performed as Staged Readings on Saturday the 14th of September.

Scripts will be casting an ensemble of actors to bring our exciting new works from page to stage. We are looking for men and women of all ages, to get involved in this unique acting process. The new plays will be presented as Staged Readings at the headline event of the festival ” Scripts New Plays:The Performance” on Saturday September 14th 2013. The performance will be judged on the night by a panel of professional playwrights and guests on the night will include directors and producers from leading Irish theatre companies.

Rehearsals will take place in Birr Co. Offaly between Sunday, September 8th and Saturday September 14th. Rehearsal schedules will be organized around actor/director availability where possible, with day and evening rehearsal slots available for all plays.

“Without new writers we have no business. Today’s slushpile author could be next year’s number one bestseller. Every successful writer started out where you are now – and if they can do it, so can you.” – Juliet Mushens, Literary Agent at The Agency Group Ltd and Judge of The Bath Novel Award 2014
Before becoming a literary agent, Juliet worked in fiction marketing and editorial at HarperCollins, after reading history at Cambridge. She is always looking for new voices and earlier this year conducted an eleven-publisher auction, resulting in a six figure deal, for ‘The Miniaturist’, a debut novel she picked off the slush pile and which she has sold in 30 territories since April.

Another slushpile find for Mushens was THE FIRE SERMON by Francesca Haig which just sold to HarperVoyager for 6 figures at 6 way auction. The film rights have been pre-empted by Dreamworks and the rights have also sold in Turkey with auctions in Spain and Italy, all within a fortnight of Mushens submitting the novel to publishers.
Juliet was shortlisted for the Kim Scott Walwyn Prize 2013 and was one of The Bookseller’s Rising Stars of 2012. Juliet also regularly fields up to 500 questions in her @mushenska #askagent sessions on Twitter

Michael Graham
Michael Graham has to be the only person on Earth to open for Bill Maher, Chris Rock and Sarah Palin. Radio talk host Michael Graham has spent nearly his entire life in front of a mic. He started in college as a tand-up comic, spending six years on the national circuit performing with stars like Jerry Seinfeld, Jeff Foxworthy and the aforementioned Chris Rock.

Then Michael’s career took an unexpected turn toward politics, working as a GOP political consultant on campaigns from Chicago to the Carolinas. As a result, he’s became a frequent guest on FOX/CNN/MSNBC, including several appearances on Bill Maher’s “Politically Incorrect” and “Real Time” TV shows.

Today, Michael hosts “The Natural Truth” from noon-3pm weekdays on the New England Talk Network.

The author of four books, including the first major publisher book on the Tea Party movement–”THAT’S NO ANGRY MOB, THAT’S MY MOM!” (Regnery, 2010)–Michael is also a columnist for the Boston Herald.

As a former stand-up comedian who worked as a political consultant, Michael receives many requests as a public speaker. He’s addressed groups as diverse as the Cato Institute, the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents, the Washington State Bankers Association, the Texas A&M College Republicans and–in an odd twist of fate–a debate with Cuba’s ambassador to Ireland at Trinity College in Dublin.

One of the earliest Tea Party organizers, Michael also introduced Sarah Palin at a rally of 10,000 people on Boston Common in 2010.

In Ireland he is known for this
